Kosi Bay is at the heart of the turtle nesting area in South Africa. We have five different species and you can closely observe two of these species as they come to shore to nest.

Loggerhead turtles and Leatherback turtles can be seen along this coastline from November through to February every year. Watch these ancient creatures venture out of the ocean onto land during the summer months (Nov-Feb) to lay batches of eggs on the beach and witness the hatchlings as they scuttle into the ocean.

These fascinating creatures are highly endangered and this walking tour is rated as one of the top wildlife experiences.
